Oliver is a 17-year-old singer and stage performer based in North Devon. He has been performing since the age of four when his local theatre school ignited his passion for the performing arts.
Oliver went on to train at Stagecoach Performing Arts North Devon for almost nine years, during which time he had the opportunity to perform in many different shows onstage and also gained experience working in front of a camera. Later, he took on the role as an assistant, gaining experience as part of the teaching team as well as being a student in the further stages’ classes. This allowed him to pass on his love and passion for the arts to the younger students at the school.
Oliver also has trained with other companies over the years, including VAMP Training, where he undertook intensive, high-level, musical theatre training in drama, dance and singing. As well as his love of performing in shows, at the age of 11 Oliver found a passion for performing solo gigs at festivals and other venues, including cafés, pubs and restaurants. Since his first music festival performance in 2018, he has continued to perform at various music festivals, including Party At The Manor in the summer of 2019 where he won an award for best act of the year. Since then, has made numerous appearances at Bideford Music Day and performed at many gigs in Rock Park and other smaller venues such as Tea By The Taw and Affinity Devon shopping Outlet.
Oliver has also enjoyed being a guest singer with the Golden Coast Big Band on multiple occasions, both at their regular residency at Portmore Golf Park and at events like the North Devon Show.
Over the years Oliver has worked hard to develop his skill set and gain a wide level of knowledge in both Drama and Music, taking a particular interest into learning how the voice works – a skill which has proved particularly useful as he continues his journey in the performing arts. He is now fortunate enough to offer 1-1 vocal or acting lessons for all abilities along side his own education and performing career, find out more about his teaching here.
